I bought 2 adaptec 29160N SCSI controllers that I never received...

I have *bought* 2 adaptec 29160N SCSI controllers over the [H] forums from Omar and never received them.
I have been waiting for more than 6 weeks (deal debuted on Jan. 8) for the package to arrive and it never did. At first, communication was good either by PM or by e-mail. Omar was first supposed to ship the package with FedEx but decided, upon agreement with me, to ship with USPS. In his last e-mail, he said that was about to ship the package in the afternoon (this is more than six weeks from now). When I saw that the package was not arriving, I tried to contact him numerous times via PM and e-mails with no reply at all. The last time I got a reply from him was on Feb. 17 and mainly because I had to hijack a thread which he was posting in. He said he was sorry, that he never check PM and said that he would refund me and see what could have had happened to the post office. Since then, he is dead silent.
I have been very patient. Did I say "very"? I gave this person the oppotunity to start building some refs since he had only one eval. I paid this guy right away, when prompted to do so. I even sent more cash to make sure he does not get penalized due to the fact that I was using my credit card.
Maybe this is a simple sad story about a lost package. This rarely happens but happens anyway. What is wrong here is that there was NO communication. At least, when things goes bad, say something. Niet...
In my last PM, I told him that either I get my money back (which he was supposed to send me anyway according to his last PM) or that he gives tangible PROOF that the package had been effectively shipped and lost. He did nothing.
Since Feb. 18, he has completely stopped posting on [H] under Thatonen00b. Maybe he is using another nick name.
This is the first time I am giving negative feedback and feel like that I have no other choice. I would have prefered to say how Omar was a great trader and how professionnally he handled this trade but to my deception, he did nothing like that. Maybe he had some difficulties with the shipping and such but in that case, at least KEEP communication going on.
Well, I would think twice about dealing with him. In that case, do it at our own risks.February 27, 2005
